While there isn’t a way to pinpoint the exact moment of conception, understanding how your menstrual cycle works can help you estimate when it likely occurred.   ## What Date Did I Conceive? Whether you’re a few weeks pregnant or further along, you can estimate when conception likely happened by looking at your cycle dates. Ovulation — when your body releases an egg — typically happens about two weeks after the first day of your last period. Most women ovulate during a short window of two to three days in each cycle. This is when pregnancy is most likely to occur.   ##### Conception Date Calculator By counting forward from the first day of your last period, you can estimate your ovulation window and get a rough idea of when conception may have taken place. If doing the math feels confusing, online conception calculators can help. Keep in mind that these tools provide estimates only. Every woman’s cycle is different, and ovulation can vary in timing and length. It’s also important to remember that sperm can survive inside the body for up to five days.
