PROTECTING OUR COMMUNITY AGAINST COVID-19

To protect our clients, staff, and volunteers Paulding Pregnancy Services is monitoring all recommendations made by the Center for Disease Control (CDC). We are taking the necessary precautions as provided in their guidelines.

NO ONE MAY ENTER OUR CENTER IF THEY:

  • Have a cold or persistent cough
  • Have flu-like symptoms
  • Have a fever
  • Have shortness of breath
  • Chronic fatigue
  • Have recently been exposed to COVID-19

TO LOVE OUR NEIGHBORS WELL AND TO HELP PREVENT THE SPREAD OF COVID-19, THE FOLLOWING PREVENTIVE MEASURES HAVE BEEN PUT INTO PLACE:

  • Employees and volunteers will not be permitted to work if they exhibit any of the above symptoms, have been exposed to COVID-19, or have traveled to any area where there are known cases of COVID-19, either inside or outside the US.
  • Clients will be asked at the time of their appointment if they have experienced any of the symptoms mentioned above within the past week or has recently been exposed to COVID-19.
  • Should clients exhibit symptoms they will be asked to reschedule their appointment at a minimum of two weeks out.
  • Those clients who utilize our prenatal and parenting class resources will be cared for using teleservices by utilizing virtual technology.
    Staff, volunteers, and clients will be required to wash their hands with soap and water and/or use hand sanitizer when they enter the building and after using pens, clipboards, and other materials used by multiple people.
  • Staff will wash hands before and after meeting with clients. Staff and volunteers who meet with clients will be required to wear masks and gloves.
  • Common areas such as counters, tables, doorknobs, clipboards, pens, restrooms, and other areas that people come in contact with will be disinfected throughout the day and after each client appointment.
  • Hours of service may change to increase physical distancing among clients, staff, and volunteers.

An ultrasound is a helpful tool for pregnancy evaluation

We offer early term (8-24 weeks) limited ultrasounds to confirm an intrauterine pregnancy, measure fetal heartbeat, and gestational age based on fetal measurements. A nurse will help you schedule an ultrasound during your pregnancy test appointment as there are certain medical criteria that apply.

 

All ultrasounds are performed by a registered sonographer. Each ultrasound is reviewed by a radiologist to ensure that we are providing the highest standards of care.

Urine pregnancy tests detect HCG hormone, which is present in pregnancy, but other factors may also influence a positive test result. Our tests are designed for medical professional use and are more sensitive to the HCG hormone than an over-the-counter pregnancy test.
